Epworth hosts remembrance tea
Special tea to be held in celebration of remembrance day.
Epworth Children’s Village is holding a special Remembrance Day function on November 9.
The home was born out of need after World War One, to help the children of those who had made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Remembrance Day function will serve to remember all those men and women who were killed during both World Wars and other conflicts.
The event will also act as a celebratory function to launch Epworth’s centenary year.
Members of the community are asked to host a table at the legacy tea, in honour of Remembrance Day.
As a hostess/host you will be required to dress your own table, bring eats and any special drinks.
Epworth will provide a table, 10 chairs, milk, tea, coffee and hot water.
A small donation of R250 will be required to cover costs.
So invite nine of your friends or colleagues and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon at Epworth Children’s Village.
The tea takes place from 2pm to 4pm at the home, at 47 Ninth Avenue, Lambton Extension One.
