Wychwood Primary School foundation phase pupils enjoyed singing "Raindrops keep falling on my head".
Wychwood Primary School held its annual Grannies and Grandpas’ Tea at the school recently.
The occasion was even more special as the school is celebrating its 95th birthday this year.
About 160 elderly people from Rest-a-While Community Centre for the Aged, Protea, Solheim, Elandsvallei, Gerald Fitzpatrick and Thembalani old age homes, as well as elderly friends of the school attended the event.
This year pupils from St Benedict’s College put on an item for the elderly and they donated all the party boxes for the elderly folks to take home.
Leeuwenhof Akademie donated the services of their bus and driver to drive the elderly citizens to and from the event.
The visitors were treated to delicious snacks and an entertaining performance by the Wychwood Primary pupils.
Laurence Barrett (front), one of the elderly visitors to the Wychwood Primary School Grannies and Grandpas’ Tea, enjoyed the show. Grade Sixes and best friends Nontsikelelo Masoka (12, back, left) and Mbali Mbatha (12) were part of the team making sure the visitors had enough to eat and drink.
