Primrose SAPS arrest 53 in a week.

The Primrose SAPS arrested 53 people through various operations, during the week of October 28 to November 3.

The suspects were arrested on various charges, including assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, domestic violence, malicious damage to property, possession of suspected stolen property, possession of drugs, reckless and negligent driving, possession of and dealing in drugs, shoplifting, importuning with the purpose of sexual immorality, theft of a motorbike, warrant of arrest, theft, trespassing, selling liquor without a licence, being drunk in public, rape, possession of dagga, housebreaking, and illegal immigration.

A number of suspects were detained at the Primrose Police Station pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.

Some of the arrested people were released with a warning, while others had to pay an admission of guilt fine before being released.

Illegal immigrants were transferred to Lindela in Krugersdorp, where they will be deported back to their respective countries.
