A 31-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose police on January 5.
He faces charges of common assault and domestic violence.
The arrest was made after the victim of the assault came to the Primrose Police Station and laid formal charges against the accused.
The victim explained that he was at home watching TV when he heard a strange noise coming from his son’s bedroom and decided to investigate.
When he entered his son’s room he asked what had happened.
His son did not answer and,instead,chased him from the room and assaulted him with an unknown object.
Officers were able to trace the man’s son to Koedoe Road,in Sunnyridge, where he was arrested.
“As police we warn the community not to take the law into their own hands.
“Should the community have any problems or challenges we encourage them to contact the relevant people,so that they can help you,” said Const Styles Maome,communications officer for the Primrose police.
