The GCN has received more high school matric results from the city’s schools.
Hoërskool Goudrif achieved a 97 per cent matric pass rate, with 58 per cent of the pupils achieving university exemption.
The school had 137 matric pupils and achieved 35 distinctions.
Germiston High School recorded a 96.1 per cent pass rate from its 206 matric pupils.
They had a 60 per cent bachelor’s degree pass rate and achieved 62 distinctions and 189 B symbols overall.
Principal André Beukes was pleased with the results, especially with the number of B symbols achieved.
Dinwiddie High School obtained a 95 per cent pass rate.
The school had 194 matrics and 71 of these qualified for a bachelor’s degree, 88 for diploma studies and 25 for higher certificate studies.
Principal David Mosenye said he was very happy with the school’s results and proud of the matrics and the teachers.
