A 33-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for drunk driving.
The arrest was made on the corner of Cactus and Stanley roads, after officers noticed the man driving recklessly and immediately stopped the vehicle.
The driver struggled to climb out of his vehicle and was unable to speak properly.
Officers also noticed that his eyes were bloodshot and that he smelled of alcohol.
“The man was arrested and taken to a local hospital to undergo a blood test, to confirm if he was, indeed, under the influence of alcohol,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The man appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for trial.
