Men held in contempt of court

Men ignore court orders.

Two men were recently arrested by the Primrose police in separate incidents of court orders being violated.

The first, a 43-year-old man, was arrested when officers received a call claiming he had violated the terms of the protection order the victim had against him.

Officers travelled to the scene where the man was arrested.

The second incident involved a 55-year-old man, who had violated the terms of the protection order his wife had against him.

The arrest was made when the victim went to the Germiston Magistrates Court to apply for an arrest warrant against her husband.

After the warrant was issued, officers tracked the man down and arrested him.

“We remind members of the community that court orders are not to be ignored; if they cannot abide by the rules set out in the court order they will be arrested,” said communications officer for the Primrose police Styles Maome.
