A 27-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police.
He was charged with a rape that took place in Marigold Street, in November, last year.
Officers began their investigation when the victim called the Primrose Police Station to report the incident.
She explained to officers that she had been walking down Rietfontein Road when she was attacked by a man.
“He threatened her with a knife and forced himself on her,” said communications officer for the Primrose police Sgt Styles Maome.
After five months of investigation officers were finally able to track the accused and arrest him.
He was taken to the Primrose Police Station after his arrest.
