Primrose police arrested two suspects, aged 30 and 35, in connection with a murder on Pretoria Road, on July 12.
“Our police were patrolling when they received a complaint about a man who had died on Pretoria Road, near the emergency services offices,” said the communications officer for the Primrose SAPS, Sgt Styles Maome.
They rushed to the scene and found a man lying in a pool of blood.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
“Our police followed up on information and were told that there was a fight at Makause informal settlement and that the deceased was stabbed with a sharp instrument in the upper body,” said Maome.
“The police followed all the leads and arrested two suspects in the informal settlement.”
One suspect had a stab wound on the lower body and alleged that he was stabbed by the deceased while they were fighting.
“We appeal to the community to report all criminal activities to the police and not to take the law into their own hands,” added Maome.
Both suspects were detained at the Primrose Police Station and will soon appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
