Claudia Vedda was thrilled by the community participation in the two-hour Zumba-a-thon, held on Saturday, August 2, in aid of the Animal Lovers Project Swing (ALPS).
ALPS aims to improve the life of animals in disadvantaged and impoverished communities by providing the community with practical education on animal welfare, systematically sterilising animals and providing the necessary veterinary care.
This project is focused on the animals in Etwatwa, in Benoni.
Community members who attended the event were asked to bring along a donation of pet food.
This food was handed over to ALPS, to aid them in future projects.
If you would like to get involved with ALPS, contact Cassandra Barbosa on cassbar@live.com, or call 082 771 0511.
Event orgainiser Claudia Vedda was thrilled with the community’s involvement in the charity Zumba-a-thon.
