After following several leads, Primrose police were able to trace and arrest a man accused of attacking his wife’s lover.
The arrest was made when the victim reported the incident to officers at the Primrose Police Station.
The man told police that he had met with his lover’s husband, to discuss their situation.
The accused told the man to stay away from his wife or he would cut off his penis.
The discussion between the two men became heated and the accused began to punch the victim.
During the struggle the accused grabbed a sharp object and, true to his word, stabbed the victim in the groin, face, nose and hands.
The man appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court on charges of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and the case was postponed for trial.
