A 26-year-old woman was arrested, recently, after she allegedly attacked a woman in the Makause informal settlement.
The arrest was made when the victim of the attack travelled to the Primrose Police Station, to open a case against her attacker.
The victim explained that she and her boyfriend were in her shack when the woman entered and started hitting her with a bottle.
“She sustained injuries to her upper body during the attack,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Officers, using the description given by the victim, were able to trace the woman and she was arrested.
The suspect appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where she faced charges of assault, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Her case has since been postponed for plea and trial.
