Eleven children injured after vehicle collides with truck
Eleven children have been taken to hospital after the vehicle they were in collided with a truck.
Twelve people have been injured in a collision on Heidelberg Road, this morning.
A Toyota Condor, transporting 11 children, collided with an articulated truck on Heidelberg Road, travelling in the direction of Leondale.
William Ntladi, the media liaison officer for the Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services said, “All the children have been transported to hospital with various injuries.
“Five children have critical injuries, five are in a serious but stable condition and one suffered minor injuries.
“The driver of the Toyota also suffered minor injuries.”
Heidelberg Road, in the direction of Leondale, has been closed to traffic until emergency services have cleared the scene.
