The power system is currently stable, enabling Eskom to perform maintenance without load shedding.

This follows stage two load shedding being implemented yesterday (Sunday).

However, as a result of increased electricity demand in the evening and power stations’ units being on maintenance, the power system is expected to be constrained during the evening peak period.

This could lead to load shedding.

Eskom will provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.
