Bursary application now open
Metro bursary applications close on September 18
Applications for the 2015 Ekurhuleni Community Bursaries are open.
These bursaries are offered to women, people living with a disability or individuals from a disadvantaged background, who reside in the Ekurhuleni region.
The minimum requirements are a grade 12 certificate or current matric exam results.
Successful candidates will be expected to enter into a bursary agreement with the municipality.
“Candidates and those who comply with all the minimum requirements are encouraged to apply,” said Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro.
“Bursaries are open to suitably qualified and deserving candidates with a good academic track-record wishing to pursue full-time studies of bachelor degrees, national diplomas, certificates and accredited learning programmes from recognised and accredited higher education and training institutions.”
The following disciplines will be focused on:
- Science, engineering and built environment;
- Finance and commerce;
- Law (LLB);
- Humanities, health and environment management;
- Management;
- Vocational programmes and
- Information technology.
Application forms are available at all Ekurhuleni Customer Care Centres, libraries and clinics and should be returned on or before September 18.
No late, faxed or emailed application forms will be considered.
