Where is Buksie?
Primrose Hill resident devastated after the loss of her miniature pinscher.
Primrose Hill resident, Christine Fourie, contacted the GCN in the hope of finding her dog.
On the morning of September 23, miniature pinscher ‘Buksie’ escaped and was seen running down Lobelia Road.
“Later that day, my husband, Pieter, was met by a man as he entered the gate who told him that our dog went out the gate after him,” explained Christine.
“I just can’t recall the name of the man, but my husband and I know him as he has done work in the house for us previously.”
Christine also said the eyewitness tried to catch the dog.
“Apparently the man tried to approach Buksie, but he ran off again,” she said.
“The man further alleges that he saw a blue motor vehicle stop and an elderly woman get out and pick Buksie up and put him in her car.
“When he tried to explain to the woman that he knows the owner of the dog and where he lives, she said she will bring him back later in the afternoon.
“Well, she never did.”
Christine said Buksie is wearing a collar.
“I know that pet owners are told by the SPCA to have their pets chipped so they can be identified when picked up, but Buksie had a collar around his neck with a name plate with his name and a telephone number in case he gets lost,” she said.
“He is not a puppy anymore and I am heartbroken by all this, he was given to me 14 years ago when his previous owner moved to a flat and could not keep him anymore.
“I am appealing to whoever took him and anyone with information to please come forward so I can get Buksie back.”
Christine can be contacted on 083 337 0035.
