The metro informed residents and businesses of a power supply interruption that affected parts of Germiston and its surrounding areas on October 1. The interruption was due to a problem with the network supply from Eskom which feeds the Germiston area.

The streets of Primrose glowed red in the evening light as shacks in the Makause informal settlement burnt to the ground, recently. It is claimed the evening started with residents protesting in the streets, as a result of an EMPD raid that saw several local taverns shut down.

The Elsburg SAPS are hunting for three house robbers. It is reported that the men gained entry to a flat, through the open bathroom window, in Patrick Street, Elspark.

A local liquor store employee was shocked when he witnessed a woman shoplifting.
