Katlehong police nab 53 suspects

Katlehong police, together with members of the EMPD, arrested 53 suspects over the weekend.

The arrests were made during a stop-and-search operation held from December 4 to 6.

The suspects were charged with various offences, including assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, malicious damage to property, shoplifting, intimidation, driving under the influence of alcohol and the possession of drugs, which included dagga and nyaope.

All suspects arrested are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court soon.
