The Katlehong cluster stations arrested 103 suspects from February 26 to 28.

The Katlehong cluster stations had a busy weekend, from February 26 to 28, with the arrest of 103 suspects.

The cluster, made up of the Katlehong South, Vosloorus, Thokoza, Eden Park, Katlehong North, Zonkizizwe and Dawn Park police stations, arrested the suspects for various offences during a stop-and-search operation.

The operation was organised by members of the cluster stations’ crime prevention offices together with members of the EMPD.

Thirty-eight of the 103 suspects were arrested in Katlehong.

Charges included: malicious damage to property, intimidation, assault, rape, attempted rape, housebreaking and theft, drinking liquor in public, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of dagga, fraud, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and selling alcohol without a license.

All of the accused are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court soon.
