The Germiston Local Football Association has launched a junior football league.

The Germiston Local Football Association has previously focused only on the Senior Super League teams.

However, due to local demand and the number of children not accommodated in formal leagues, the association has decided to launch a junior league which will accommodate u-9, u-11, u-13, u-15, u-17 and u-19 players.

“It’s important for us to develop football in our city and to guide young aspiring footballers within formal football structures, as this helps with player development and discipline,” said Moonira Ramathula, from the association.

“This will also provide a platform where the talented players can be identified and further developed.”

Registration for clubs within the Germiston area is now open.

Registration affiliation is free, as this is the first year the junior leagues will be running, however there will be a costs involved for 20 cards per team.

For more information contact Ramathula on 060 478 0532, or email to moonirar@gmail.com.
