Man arrested for assault GBH

A man opened a case of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm after he was attacked by two men.

A man was on his way to his Makause informal settlement home recently when he was accosted by two men.

“The man told officers at the Primrose Police Station that the men had attacked him without warning,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

During the assault the man was struck with fists and a beer bottle.

A 30-year-old man was traced, using the description given by the victim, and arrested.

The man has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where his case was postponed for plea and trial.

“A manhunt has been launched to find the other suspect,” said Maome.
