The DA in Ekurhuleni has welcomed the appointment of Dr Imogen Mashazi as the new city manager and supported her appointment at the recent council meeting held in the Germiston Council Chambers.
“Mashazi’s appointment comes after continued pressure and ongoing investigations from the party led to the resignation of Khaya Ngema, in August, this year,” said Tania Campbell, the DA’s chief whip of Ekurhuleni.
“Mashazi comes with a wealth of experience and expertise in various fields, which will be of benefit to the metro.
“At the helm, we’re sure she’ll usher in a new era of clean governance in Ekurhuleni.”
Campbell added that the party looks forward to working closely with Mashazi and her officials – and will continue to hold her to a high standard of accountability, to ensure delivery to all residents of Ekurhuleni.
