Busy weekend for Katlehong police

Police continue their efforts to crack down on crime in Katlehong.

Over the past weekend the Katlehong South police arrested 30 suspects in the area.

The arrests were made through several police operations, held by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and EMPD, in the area from February 10 to 12.

The suspects were arrested on a number of different charges.

These included common assault, crimen injuria, driving under the influence of alcohol, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, housebreaking and theft, possession of a hijacked motor vehicle, dealing in drugs, murder, and possession of dagga.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
