Keeping Tata’s legacy alive

Kisima Educare Career Centre celebrates Mandela Day by donating books to Ekurhuleni Primary School.

In the spirit of Mandela Day, Kisima Educare Career Centre paid the Grade Seven girls at Ekurhuleni Primary School a visit on Wednesday.

Beaming with smiles the children handed out gift packs to their seniors.

“We all have the responsibility to carry Tata Nelson Mandela’s legacy.

“He not only taught us forgiveness but how to show love by caring for each other,” said Florence Wanjiru, principal of Kisima Educare Career Centre.

Aware of the difficulties faced by some learners in high school, Florence said the gift packs they put together for the girls was part of their strategy to help young girls transition well from primary school into high school.

“Discovering your path to success during high school is a beautiful book that will help the girls with confidence issues and other high school related pressures,” she said.
