Children and parents donate food to less fortunate

Heavenly Flowers Pre-Primary School and Kleyn’s Party Hire come together to make a difference in the lives of families in need.

The children of Heavenly Flowers Pre-Primary School had fun galore last Friday when the school hosted a special fun day.

“The initiative saw Kleyn’s Party Hire owner Adrian Kleyn sponsoring two jumping castles to the school in return for non-perishable food.

“The Castle for Food initiative was a great idea and we are proud to have done our part in making a difference,” said Natasha Viljoen, on behalf of the school.

The food collected was donated to No Limits Church in Elsburg who help less fortunate families within the community with food parcels.

“The children really enjoyed every moment and we were overwhelmed with the many generous donations coming in from all of our parents.

“We could not have done this without them,” said Natasha.

The school now looks ahead to September 1 when they will once again join hands with the Lambton Klip Sector Four CPF in hosting a fun-filled fun day.
