The team from VUCS is now embarking on a project to see 150 learners from Thodupi Primary School in Daveyton receive much-needed school shoes.
“We understand how poverty-stricken children are negatively impacted by the circumstances they are forced to live under, which are motivated by many factors,” explained chairperson Thabile Sibeko on behalf of VUCS.
“We want to encourage them with school shoes in order to build their confidence.”
Donations need to be collected by September 9 as the team plans to visit the school on September 11 to hand out the shoes.
