Man found in possession of shady white substance

Man found with black bag filled with a white substance believed to be drugs.

Members of the Germiston SAPS Task Team were recently on a routine patrol in the Germiston CBD when they spotted and arrested a 25-year-old man on a charge of possession of drugs.

“The suspect was loitering on President Street when the officers approached him and asked to search him,” said Const Maxwell Mabunda, communications officer for the Germiston police.

“The accused was carrying a black bag which contained small plastic bags with a white substance in them, which the officers believed to be drugs.”

The man was arrested immediately on a charge of drug possession and detained in Germiston SAPS custody.

He will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon to face charges of drug possession.
