Nineteen suspects arrested by Katlehong SAPS last weekend
Katlehong police share their weekend successes.
Katlehong police had a successful weekend operation from September 7 to 9 where 19 suspects were arrested for various offences.
Communications officer at Katlehong Police Station Const Sivenkosi Mtwa said suspects were arrested during routine stop-and-search operations conducted by Katlehong crime prevention members and detectives.

“Suspects were arrested for the following crimes, among others, five suspects for malicious damage to property of which one includes assault of police; three suspects for business robbery; two suspects for possession of suspected stolen property; another two for theft; and two more for assault with intent to inflict bodily harm,” said Mtwa.
“Other suspects were arrested for each of the following crimes: murder after warrant of arrest was issued, contravening court order, common assault which includes intimidation, and possession of drugs such as nyaope and dagga.”

The arrested suspects are expected to appear in Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon, according to their different charges.
