Germiston SAPS detectives made 22 arrests recently which lead to several successful convictions.
The accused were arrested on a number of different charges ranging from drug possession to shoplifting.
All of the seven suspects arrested for drug possession were released after paying admission of guilt fines.
The fines ranged from R50 to R5 000.
A suspect was arrested for dealing in liquor without a licence and paid an admission of guilt fine of R500 before being released.
Four suspects were apprehended for shoplifting and paid admission of guilt fines of between R50 and R3 000, before being released with a warning.
Detectives arrested two suspects for malicious damage to property.
One of the accused was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, while the second paid an admission of guilt fine of R5 000 before being released.

Another suspect was found guilty of theft and sentenced to nine months imprisonment.
Two suspects were arrested for common assault, the first was ordered to pay a R3 000 fine or face two months in prison while the second was ordered to pay an R800 fine.
Two of the accused were found guilty of fraud.
One was ordered to pay a R6 000 fine or face four months imprisonment while the second was sentenced to 12 months direct imprisonment.
A suspect was sentenced to six months imprisonment after being arrested and found guilty of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Another accused was found guilty of house break-in and sentenced to three years of direct imprisonment.
The final suspect was arrested for crimen injuria and was ordered to pay a R1 000 fine.
The Germiston SAPS celebrated the successful convictions and will continue to target criminals in their precinct.
