Presiding officer happy about voter turn out
Voters were excited on seeing them and interacted with them.
Presiding officer Sithembiso Buthelezi, who was in charge of the voting station at J Dumane Community Hall in Vosloorus Extension Two, is happy about the turn out of voters at the voting station.
Around 1.30pm on Election Day, Buthelezi said their target was 3 200 voters.
“Everything is going well so far. By noon more than 1 000 people had already cast their votes. I believe by close of business more than 3 000 people will have voted,” Buthelezi said.
He said what was interesting was to see two of the most prominent members of the community, Pastor Paseka Motsoeneng, famously known as prophet Mboro, as well as Vosloorus Police Station commander casting their votes at the station.
Buthelezi thanked all staff members deployed at the station for working hand in hand with him in making sure the voting process at the station went according to plan.
