Officers from the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, with help from detectives from the Katlehong Police Station, arrested six suspects, last Tuesday.
The arrests were made during several stop-and-search operations and routine patrols in the area.

The accused were arrested for various offences.
Charges included: assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, domestic violence, reckless and negligent driving, dealing in dagga and possession of drugs.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for a number of different reasons.
Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Sammy Tambo appealed to the community to come forward with the names of alleged drug dealers within the community.

“These tip-offs will help us curb substance abuse within our area,” he said.
Police will continue to host similar operations in the area.
