While on routine patrol in Rietfontein Road, recently, officers from the Primrose Police Station were flagged down by a man.

“The man told officers there was a badly injured man lying on the pavement in Aster Road,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“The man, who was bleeding and unable to talk was taken to a local hospital by paramedics.
“A witness to the crime claimed the victim had been assaulted by local taxi drivers and lead officers to the home of one of these drivers.”

The man allegedly admitted to assaulting the victim with the help of his friends.
Three men, aged between 22 and 23 years old, were arrested by the Primrose police on a charge of attempted murder.
The trio appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where their case was postponed for plea and trial.
