Hospital looks at improving quality services in a caring manner
Hospital hosts Quality Assurance Awareness event.
Bertha Gxowa Hospital hosted a Quality Assurance Awareness event at the Kobie Moller Hall, situated at the hospital recently.
The event, which is an international event that takes place every November, concentrates on the importance of keeping up with government’s commitment to not only deliver good quality services, but also quality services in a caring matter.

The Rutanang Community Project, comprised of youth from Tembisa, acted out the Six Ministerial Key Priority Areas of the National Core Standards to illustrate them to the attendees.
Alvin Varadarajulu (member of Pure Wonder Med), who attended the event, along with his fellow colleagues, Rita Varadarajulu and Darren James, introduced a new anti-bacterial and anti-micro mat which will be put in the hallways of hospitals.
A number of awards were handed out at the event.
The following clinics received the Platinum Status Award for the Ideal Clinic National Assessments for 2018/2019:
• Calcot Dhlephu Clinic with a score of 91 per cent.
• Daveyton East Clinic with a score of 93 per cent.
• Nigel Clinic with a score of 90 per cent.
• Slovo Park Clinic with a score of 92 per cent.
• Ramaphosa Clinic with a score of 90 per cent.
• Reiger Park Clinic with a score of 91 per cent.
• Bertha Gxowa Clinic with a score of 92 per cent.
• Brackenhurst Clinic with a score of 91 per cent.
• Rondebult Clinic with a score of 92 percent.
• Wannenburg Clinic with a score of 92 per cent.
• Magagula Clinic with a score of 93 per cent.
• Phenduka Clinic with a score of 93 per cent.
• Phola Park CHC with a score of 95 per cent.
• Sunriseview Clinic with a score of 93 per cent.
• Zonkizizwe One Clinic with a score of 91 per cent.
• Thembelisha Clinic with a score of 94 per cent.
• Klopper Park Clinic with a score of 92 per cent.
• Tsietsi Clinic with a score of 92 per cent.
The Platinum Status overall score was above 90 per cent and Phola Park Community Health Centre scored the highest with 95 per cent.
Daveyton Clinic received the Consistent Status Award for the best performing clinic.
