Man’s burnt and injured body found outside Germiston substation

Medics found the body of a man lying on a pylon.

The body of a man, believed to be in his 20s, was found lying on a pylon outside a substation on Lambert Street in Germiston.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 11.06am on Tuesday to find the local authorities already in attendance,” said Russel Meiring, from the ER24 communications office.

“On closer inspection, medics found the body of a man lying on a pylon outside the substation.

“The man was assessed and found to have sustained burns over most of his body, as well as serious injuries to his legs.

“Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.”

The details surrounding the incident are not yet known.
