It was another busy weekend for the Katlehong police.
Twenty-four suspects were arrested in Katlehong during several weekend operations.

The operations, held between May 22 and 24, were carried out by officers from the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit, detectives from the Katlehong Police Station and members of the EMPD in several different areas within Katlehong.
This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the Katlehong Police Station.
The suspects were charged with various offences.
Charges included assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, rape, common assault, interfering with police duties, hijacking, shoplifting, dealing in drugs, possession of drugs and contravening the Disaster Management Act (Covid-19 Act).

All of the arrested suspects were held at the Katlehong Police Station pending their appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Phakama Gcaza thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.
