A 44-year-old suspect was recently arrested for possession of suspected stolen property in Windsor Road, Homestead.
“Primrose police, with the help of EMPD officers, arrested the suspect after an officer alleged he was on duty and received a lead about a cellphone taken during a house robbery in Dawn Park,” said the communications officer of Primrose SAPS, Sgt Styles Maome.
“The owner of the phone traced it and found it was being used by someone in Primrose. The person using the phone was at the corner of Elberfield Avenue and Windsor Road.”

Maome said the phone was found and the suspect was arrested and detained at Primrose SAPS.
Primrose SAPS urged the community to refrain from buying goods which cannot be accounted for.
“When you buy something from someone, demand proof of purchase by means of a receipt.
“The suspect will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Maome.
