Man apprehended for sexual assault on stepsister
The complainant alleged she was walking from a shop and was approached by her stepbrother, who pulled a blanket she had wrapped around her waist from her and threatened to rape her.
Primrose SAPS arrested a 23-year-old man for sexual assault in Makause informal settlement on August 19.
The complainant alleged she was walking from a shop and was approached by her stepbrother, who pulled a blanket she had wrapped around her waist from her and threatened to rape her.
“He touched her privates and tried to pull down her skirt. The girl managed to free herself and ran to her home, where she reported the matter to her mum,” Primrose SAPS spokesperson Sgt Styles Maome said.

The girl’s mother said when they went to her uncle to report the incident they found the man.
“He still had the blanket he took from her waist and a sharp object in his possession. An argument ensued and he threatened to burn the place down. A case was opened and the man was traced and arrested.”
