Angus Phillip, a 65-year-old pensioner, thanked a good Samaritan for giving him much-needed groceries recently.
The Samaritan came to his rescue at the corner of Rose Acres Hospital.
He also thanked Primrose residents for their generosity to help him after he was injured in a hit-and-run about a year ago.

“Since then I haven’t been able to walk properly and my eyesight has deteriorated. I no longer have family and I was living in basements and backrooms with no running hot water. I was not able to afford proper accommodation as I live on a government pension,” he said.
“I am now living with family friends who are also unemployed due to Covid-19 and yet they took me in so I could have a place to bath and have a meal a day,” said Angus.
He often stands outside the hospital to help the family and himself by collecting donations.
“I was there standing in my usual spot when a woman in a light blue car pulled up and called me to her car. She opened her boot and I saw she had groceries.
“I am extremely grateful to this woman who not only opened her heart to help me but helped an entire family too.”
