Women must be celebrated every day - Monochrome
Local amapiano artist Sipho ‘Monochrome’ Shayi (23) released his latest single in August.
The artist from Senza Kwenzeke, Villa Liza, said his latest single titled Queen of my Heart is about celebrating women and encouraging men to love, respect and protect women.
“When I wrote the song, I was inspired by the work our mothers do in the societies we live in,” said Monochrome.
“I dedicated the song to my mother to let her know she is a hero. It’s also dedicated to other mothers and women around the world,” he said.
He urged men to not belittle women and to celebrate women.

“A mother brings warmth and comfort into a home. If it wasn’t for women, we would not be here today,” said Monochrome.
Monochrome started his music career four years ago. He wrote and recorded his latest single with the help of vocalist Bonakele Mogabudi. It was produced by Sushi De Deejay.
“So far, the public’s reaction, according to numbers, is good. I appreciate the support and the recognition from everyone,” he said.
What are you working on?
“I am working with Nkabi Records.
“Apart from amapiano, there are new projects we are looking at with producer Celza Nja ka Gogo and Lwah, a vocalist from Big Zulu’s record label,” said Monochrome.
He is also working on an EP, which he plans to release soon. The title of the EP is yet to be announced.
Queen of my Heart is available on all popular digital stores, including Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, iTunes and YouTube music.
