Primrose SAPS arrested a suspect for domestic violence, which happened at Delport informal settlement in Primrose on October 25.
The complainant alleged that she applied for a protection order against her boyfriend and on October 25, the police visited the residence to serve him with that protection order.
“After the police left, he asked her why she called them. The man assaulted the woman and she sustained minor injuries,” said Sgt Styles Maome, Primrose SAPS communications officer.

“She reported the matter to the police and the following day, he was traced and arrested.
“He was detained at the Primrose SAPS. We appeal to our community to not take the law into their own hands.
“The suspect was charged with domestic violence and appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where the case was postponed for a plea,” said Maome.
