For the past 11 months, GoLocal Project has provided Liverpool Development players with vegetables and other healthy foods.
The project’s goal is to feed more than 200 families per week.
The project is led by chairperson Rickey de Beer and was initially launched under auspices of the the Mark Fish Foundation.
“We have been getting the veggies since the hard lockdown and it really helps the players’ families,” said coach Lucky Muthelo.
“I take my hat off to all GoLocal Project members who work hard to pack out vegetables every Friday. As Liverpool Development FC, we are very grateful.”
