Campaign aims to create awareness about burglaries and theft in Primrose
Burglaries and theft of motor vehicles are rising in Primrose East.
Primrose SAPS, representatives from gender-based violence brigades and members of Crime Prevention Youth Desk spoke to residents about burglaries and theft of motor vehicles in the area.
The awareness campaign took place in Primrose East on May 27 with a door-to-door campaign and safety tip pamphlets being handed out to residents.
Emergency numbers were also provided.
Sergeant Styles Maome from Primrose SAPS said officials engaged with residents face to face.

He said crime in Primrose East is increasing and police are concerned about house burglaries and car theft.
Maome warned residents not to park their vehicles outside their gates and beware of suspicious vehicles and people when leaving or arriving at their properties.
“Remove all mail from your post box as it draws the attention of house burglars. Register number plates of unknown vehicles spotted in the area,” he said.
