Primrose Police arrest suspect for tampering with essential infrastructure

Primrose SAPS, with the help of a security officer, arrested a suspect for tampering with essential infrastructure on June 3.

The security officer was patrolling along Main Reef Road and at the corner of Stanhope Road, he noticed two men cutting cables connected to traffic lights.

Sargeant Styles Maome, spokesperson for the Primrose SAPS, said the security officer stopped to investigate.

“The suspects fled in different directions. The officer caught one and the suspect was handed to the police. He was detained at Primrose SAPS pending his appearance in Germiston Magistrate’s Court.”
