Five injured in head-on collision in Elsburg
Fire department and EMPD were on the scene for further investigations.
Five people were transported to hospital following a head-on collision in Elsburg on October 9.

Three people were critically injured and two were seriously injured after the collision between two light motor vehicles on Elsburg Road, Germiston.

According to ER24 spokesperson, Ross Campbell, paramedics were on the scene at 07:12.
“The five people needed to be assisted from the two vehicles which were still on the road,” said Campbell.
According to the media liaison officer, two women believed to be in their mid-30s and one man in his mid-50s was found in a white vehicle, having sustained critical injuries.

Two men in their mid-30s were found in a grey vehicle having suffered serious injuries.
“All five patients were treated with advanced life support interventions before being transported to Tambo Memorial Hospital for further care.
“The fire department as well as the EMPD were on the scene for further investigations,” he said.
