“Simple things like cutting grass, and cleaning cemeteries and parks are not done. Hence we will focus on projects that will be based on partnerships and sponsors,” said Mpambani.
He said he plans to focus on the youth as there is a high unemployment rate in the ward.
“Young people need to work and make a living.
“We cannot have young people sitting and doing nothing because that can lead them to do undesirable things. Our conviction is to create job opportunities partnering with the private sector,” said Mpambani.
He also aims to improve service delivery and expand public engagement with the community by holding public meetings.
“We will also run a programme called Know your Councillor and once a month we will put our gazebo and table and allow the community to come and table their concerns,” shared Mpambani.
He said before the end of the month they will focus on youth development.

“I wish to see some of our IDP needs to be implemented but looking at the current affairs this will be impossible as the city budget was cut more than once.
“We want to see a clean Germiston with street lights and a city that attracts investors,” said Mpambani
He plans to continue with the community’s annual soccer tournament.
“We hope to make it bigger and better as the community has proven that they look forward to it and appreciate it,” said Mpambani.
