Loadshedding an issue of the past for local learners

The donation will allow learners to continue learning to create culinary masterpieces uninterrupted.

Tembisa Commerce and Entrepreneurship School of Specialisation will be affected less by load-shedding following a recent donation.

Formerly known as Tembisa Secondary School, the institution that focuses on hospitality and tourism received two 48kg gas bottles and 10 Defy gas stoves.

The donation was made possible by Emperors Palace’s CSI committee in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.

The handover of the gas bottles and stoves occurred on July 12.

Since Emperors partnered with the school, to provide support in training learners for the hospitality industry, the school has made big strides in providing future careers.

Despite this, there has been an occasional obstacle, which has been load-shedding.

The donation will allow learners to continue learning to create culinary masterpieces uninterrupted.

The project was spearheaded by committee project manager Harriet Khambula, who was instrumental in getting this initiative off the ground.

It was inspired by the motto of proudly powering tomorrow’s hospitality professionals.

The Emperors Palace team handed over the stoves and gas bottles to the school on July 12.
