R 60 000 donated to Primrose’s children centre by a local business

Village View Shopping Centre shows love to El-Shammah Home in Primrose.

A local children’s home recently received a donation of R60 000 towards their operating costs from Village View Shopping Centre, Bedfordview.

Primrose-based NPO, EI-Shammah Home Child and Youth Care Centre cater for abused, neglected and abandoned children from newborns up to two-year-olds.

The donation comes after the local business ran a month-long campaign for Mandela Day supported by Checkers, Woolworths, Fireroom, Sorbet, and Tasha’s.

The handover was attended by local councillors Jill Humphreys and Wendy Morgan.

In addition to the donation, a contractor volunteered to repaint the home’s premises including the roof to the value of R30 000.
