Biker sustains severe burn injuries after crash on Jack and Refinery roads
The truck driver escaped without injuries.
On August 10, a motorcyclist sustained critical burn and trauma wounds following a collision with an interlinked truck at the corner of Jack and Refinery roads in Germiston.
The City of Ekurhuleni emergency services rescue team responded promptly after receiving the call at 07:25.
“Upon arrival, the biker was found with severe burn and trauma injuries.
“He was given medical treatment on scene before being transported to the hospital,” stated DEMS spokesperson William Ntadi.

The truck driver emerged from the crash unscathed. The cause of the collision remains undetermined.
According to Ntadi, the entire intersection was closed to traffic as the scene was cleared and rehabilitated.
