Janene de Beer, marketing manager at Life Roseacres, noted the significance of the day in raising awareness about trauma prevention.

“Traumatic injuries are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality, with cases increasing rapidly.
“World Trauma Day was established to educate the public on taking preventive steps to reduce accidents and injuries,” said De Beer.
De Beer also expressed gratitude to the hospital’s medical staff and emergency responders, stating, “A big thank you to all our nurses, doctors, and emergency services who work tirelessly during emergencies to improve the lives of our community.”
