Marlands market spreads joy and charity

South African National Blood Service was present to encourage attendees to donate blood.

The Marlands Making A Difference (M.A.D.) Christmas Market, held on December 7, proved to be a resounding success as residents turned out in large numbers to enjoy a day filled with festive cheer while supporting various charitable organisations.

The market featured stalls brimming with unique gift ideas, delicious food, and exquisite handmade crafts.

Adding a life-saving element to the event, the South African National Blood Service was present to encourage attendees to donate blood and make a difference.

Deon Mungal, one of the event organisers, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support from the community.

“We are humbled by the community’s consistent support for all our markets.

“Their enthusiasm for our themed events has been amazing and has allowed the NGOs we support to benefit significantly,” he said.

Looking ahead, Mungal shared his hopes for continued growth in 2025.

“We are excited about next year and the opportunity to help even more people in need,” he said.
